Hi guys, I'm in need of the above, rear hub assembly and drive shaft, for my 1990 325(7) touring!!!

Can anyone confirm for me what donors I should be looking at/for???

Is the rear hub ass the same on all e30s? Or should I be looking for 6cyl parts??? Or touring specific???
Same q's regarding the drive shaft too!!!

Also, I am assuming the parts are different left/right???

I need the passenger/left side!!!

All E30s with rear discs all use the same parts, except for a slight difference in the piston size in the brake caliper on tourings.
Hub carrier/trailing arm is handed, but most of the other parts are the same on both sides.
There is a slight benefit to fitting the drive shafts onto the opposite side to which they have previously been fitted, since this presses into service the unused thrust faces of the CV joints.

i would argue the opposite when it comes to driveshafts Brian.
from my experiences if you fit a drive shaft to the opposite side it will cause them to break in some cases.
this is because over the years the metal of the shaft has become accustomed to being twisted in one direction and has built up tension. when fitted to the opposite side they tend to snap.

No E30 driveshaft is going to snap when driven by any 'normal' engine into 'normal' rubber!

Hmmmm, it's only a 2.7, but I do drive it hard!!!

I've broken less likely things than a driveshaft before, but wouldn't really have considered it being a risk before now!!!

One more question...

I have noticed some people mention 'non-abs'....

How do I check if one's I'm seeing are ABS?

And what parts would be required to turn a non-abs assembly fit an ABS car??? (I'm assuming I can swap over the missing bits from what already exists on my car???)

Good point! if you have ABS on your car, then you need ABS arms and shafts. Castings are the same, but aren't machined on non ABS stuff.

Whats??? with??? all??? the??? question??? marks???

Abs shafts will have a toothed ring around the end of the drive shaft, and the arms will have a round hole in the hub for the ABS sensors to fit in to.
