I've recently acquired my first e30 1989 320 convertible - the most noticeable problem getting is when you press the break peddle just as the car stops you can feel 3 or 4 judders. Feels like ABS.

Can anyone advise is this a problem with the ABS or worn pads/calipers?

Cheers

Sounds like the symptoms of a cracked ABS ring.

Disabling the ABS will confirm if it's an ABS fault or not.
Probably easiest to do by unscrewing the plastic cover on the ABS pump under the bonnet, and pulling out one of the relays.
