Fuel Gauge issues
Moderator: martauto
Hi, ive owned e30's for bout 7yrs and have never had one with a proper working fuel gauge. Its now doing my tits in! above half seems to be reasonable but soon as it goes below it just drops then up and down all the time. How do i get a proper working gauge? cheers

Of more significance is whether there's a S shaped pipe, about 12mm in diameter, linking the two halves of the fuel tank, which passes under the propshaft.
i think there is one of those, i changed the fuel pump and sender 2yrs ago as both failed, the fuel gauge has never been right but worse since the change, maybe its the wrong sender for that size of tank? i know theres different size tanks on some e30's
