Hey guys,

As i was cleaning my ICV as i had some idling problems & falling still.. i pressed the ICV back in the intake manifold.. but i noticed that the rubber things that sits there fell into my manifold :(..

Is this a hard job to dismount? As the car is undrivable now i have no idea where to start with.

Can't drive the car to the garage aswell..

How can i take the intake manifold off and do i need new gaskets?
Thanks..

Talking about this intake:

Hi,

the top part of the inlet manifold is very easy to remove.
1. You need to remove your inlet air hose, which is attached with an o-ring type clamp at each site
2. Disconnect the hoses around the throttle body. These are also attached with an o-ring type clamp. Remember, there is coolant in two of the three hoses so be prepared (or drain some coolant first).
3. Pull that purple tube off the Throttle Body
4. Remove the throttle cable - two 10mm screws then a clip on top of the throttle body
5. Remove 6x 12mm (or 11mm) nuts holding the inlet manifold
6. Remove 2x 10mm bolts on top of the inlet manifold and pull them out.
7. Lift the top part of the inlet manifold but make sure that the Throttle Body sensor doesn't catch on the fuel rail pipes.
Good luck

It is recommended to replace the gasket, yes. If it's fairly new then you may get away with not doing it. You will see it's condition after you take the top part off.
It's two small gaskets to be precise. Fairly easy to get hold off. Eurocarparts or GSF may even have them in stock. They should be around at £4 each? not much more.
