I have an advisory on my new MOT which says both my front brake pipes are slightly corroded and both front brake hoses are slightly deteriorated.

I can order the brake hoses from GSF/ECP/CP4L but they don't stock brake pipes.

Any ideas where the best place to source these from are?

Many thanks,
:)

get a roll of copper brake pipe & a flaring kit & pipe bender & brass unions & make your own,

or get them ready made from bmw.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Ok, never done that before, sounds fun. 25ft copper from fleabay for £25 plus a flaring kit etc.

Copper or cunifer? (I'm guessing Cu-copper, Ni-Nickel, Fe(r) -Iron? I could be very wrong).

I can't possibly mess this up right? I mean just take the grubby one off and bend a new one the same as a template?

Cheers, (new to this)

No worries,

Is easy enough, get enough copper piping & have a try, its the best way, don't try, don't know.

Thanks Brian, I was just about to buy the cheap one, this one looks much better.

Am I going to make the same mistake with the copper, or will this do: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280887932288? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Also, Copper or Cunifer?

Thanks in advance, want to get it ordered and on the car... :)

Cunifer every time. You need M10 short ends, and it's a good idea to renew the U shaped spring clips that hold the ends of the flexible lines in place. These are only pennies from BMW.

That's the ones, but they're probably cheaper at your local motor factors.
