Today I finally took my service indicator board out from my cluster and took it to a battery store to have the 2 x AA NiCad batteries replaced. It will be ready in a couple of days. My service lights were continuously glowing 1 yellow and 1 red even when the ignition was turned off. Also my ecomomy gauge never worked properly.
When I pick up my service indicator board with new batteries installed, what can I expect to have happen once it's placed back into the cluster and back into the dash?
Will the lights automatically be reset or will I have to do this myself? Will the economy gauge now work as it should?
Any thoughts or previous experience appreciated...

The faulty gauges will all start working again, however, the service lights will have to be reset in accordance with your servicing status - i.e if its due one or just had one etc

Thankyou, I'm glad to hear that the gauges will now operate correctly. The car has just been serviced, however for some time now the service light 'resetting tool' although always used, never removed the illuminated yellow and red light from glowing. I'm looking forward to giving it another try with new batteries installed...
