My first one I brought when I was 18, a black 1986 4 door 320i. It wasn't the best of condition but I got it for cheap and it was right on my doorstep, so I drove that around for a while until I realised my mistake of jumping for the first E30 I saw, so I sold it on to a mechanic who could hopefully revive her.
My second was a bit better condition, a black 1988 4 door 325. It had a few pin dents, bubbles of rust and a messy interior, but I was just thinking of the 2.5 lump.
I drove this around a few months until I racked up a nice 6 points, drained all my money into the fuel tank and the MOT ran out. So instead of pumping more money into it, I put a bit aside and brought myself a tidy white 1987 2 door 316.
TL;DR
I had a '86 320, '88 325 and now have '87 316
It has a Bilstein B12 Sporting Suspension kit sitting on 16" BBS RS reps. Overhaul of intake kit to Honda Fireblade Carbs with Boggs Brother Manifold and Carb Rejet. Also has HID headlights and a quick shift stick.
I am yet to add some of my own little cosmetic touches to make it my own, but I'm hoping this one will last me some time.
