Hello mates .
See , i am Interested in Speedtouch's Offer about the Alpina C2 ECU Chip .
Well , I have 2 ECU's at home ,
A Standard 173 . and a Superchipped Pro-formance 172 ECU which i am using at the moment on my 327i .
Would You Recommend The Alpina Chip with a 173 ECU ?
Or Should i stay on using the Pro-formance 172 ?
I am Confused TBH .
What should i do ?
Will the Alpina C2 Chip Better than the Pro-formance One ?
( The Proformance One i am Using , was originaly used on my previous M20B20 Engine )
and It Raises about 600 RPM's And Gains About 8 - 13 HP as Said By Pro-Formance ,
but i dunno ?
Advice Me Please .
Also , Do ECU Chips Sold By Speedtouch Genuine Alpina Or Are They Remapped Chips With Alpina Program ?
Cheers .
Alpina & Pro-formance ECU Superchip .

The problem with using a chip (presumably) designed for an M20B20 is that the ignition timing and fuelling will be miles out for an M20B27.
The 172 (320i) and 173 (325i) ECUs are identical, apart from the program on the EPROM chip.
A proper dedicated M20B27 chip will optimise the map for the engine, so a worthwhile thing to have, if you want to get the best out of it.
