I'm slowly in the process of giving my cab a real good going over and would like to deep clean all the plastics in the engine bay.
I've recently bought an OEM airbox to replace the K&N cone filter and would like to get down with some bufty action on it to deep clean it and remove all the grease and light surface scratches on the plastic before fitting it to the car.
What is the best product to remove the grease from such plastic?
What is the best product to use to remove light surface scratches and crud? I've read that Meguairs Ultimate Compound should remove light staining and surface imperfections on the surface of the plastic?
Thanks!

Getting them clean is easy, autosmart G101 mixed 4 parts water to 1 part G101 will shift most things.
As for scratches on plastics, there's not much you can do. Best thing would be to dress them

Failing that, There are smart repairers who can easily tackle that, usually found in major towns around the country.
I've used one from Nottingham before on a 3dr Cosworth I had, the finish was superb.

If you want to clean plastic of grease and dirt, I have used acetone. Regarding scratches, as above, you can only dress them.
