Best engine conversion for drifting???

Starting to build an e30 drift car, I'm putting lots of time and effort into it and will be a ongoing project, space framing front end from just after struts so easy access to engine ECT, full cage, all parts are been shot blasted and painted.... But anyway I'm not sure what's best engine conversion to do as want plenty of power to the rear wheels
any info would be great help cheers

Not to sure ATM wanting to do v8 or straight 6 but non turbo

well a v8 would always be better for the torque factor

Nice project btw what was the Chevys standard power bfor turbo?
