I've just replaced a duff ballast pack on my HIDs, and while both lights now work, when I turn the lights off the warning light on the check control comes on. Any ideas?

HIDs consume considerably less current than the standard halogens, and with this particular ballast, it's likely that the inrush current isn't quite enough to close the 'check' reed switch, so the warning LED comes on.
Try adding an electrolytic capacitor across the 12 volt feed to the ballast, to increase the inrush current.

Cheers for the reply Brian. Not for the first time I have no idea what you mean but I'll figure it out!

Just to clarify, the check light comes on when I turn the lights off, does the same still apply?
