Decided to detail the e30. Full clean, machine polish and wax. Thought I would post up a few of the paint correction pics. There are dust specs on the iphone camera which you will see in all the pics:

Thanks. Would prefer BBS, but I won't keep it long enough to warrant the outlay.

Given the car a little update this weekend in the form of some new wheels:

Much better!

Next up, paint the sills black as per original and lose the smoked lights.

Yeah I was planning on doing the indicators today, but didn't get round to it. What's best to use for removing the smoke effect, white spirit? Wing mirrors also need some attention.

It will have more to do with the polisher, grade of pad and skill level with the machine than the polish itself.

ive got a rupes bigfoot 21 and you could use the shittest polish and still get a mirror.

I use a DAS-6 pro with hex logic pads.

For heavy stuff I use orange pads with Meguiars #105 heavy cut compound and lighter stuff with white pads and Meguiars #205 Ultra finishing polish. Then I have a black pad for even lighter stuff. Also have AutoGlym super resin polish. Finished off with a sealant and Autoglym HD wax.

Choice of polish is much of a muchness, just a case of the correct pad/polish combination and how you use the polisher.
