There is a lot of options here:
http://www.catcams.co.uk/acatalog/BMW_E ... ngine.html
I want something which idles ok and gives some extra push up the rev range.
It's for everyday weekend type fun driving, not the track
which would anyone recommend ?
Should i also then get a re-map, i've got a Danthe ECU at present?
Thanks M52 gods

It is an odd combo, not quite the m3 US cams but better than stock m52
This would be the spec with the said cams-
Intake- 240*@9.7 lift
Exhaust- 240*@9.7lift

Don't bother Jim. I am guessing two cams will cost the thick end of a bag. You may gain 10 bhp @7000 along with a crap idle.

I went for american m3 S52 cams, managed to pick them up for about £300 - £350 if i remember correctly. The cost of cat cams or shrick put me off a little bit. I'd recommend a live map if you do get cams, I'll do mine if my exhaust ever stops blowing. If you do decide on cat cams i'm pretty sure rally prep are a dealer for cat cams (
http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... le&u=25649 might be easier to phone them though)

You would be much better off putting that grand towards a proper 3.0 build, which is a different animal altogether

Now you got me thinking there Dan, I remember you did that build recently, it was proper nice. Thanks. Do you remember the thread to wet my appetite
by the way, I'm going to get a team of crack test drivers together off the zone to do a e30 engine mod road test......basically me Phil and Rob. The line up is
2.7 m20
2.8 m52
3.5 m30
all have some off the shelf mods
top gear style write up with videos

Ok,daft question I know but can the m52 be live mapped, as I know the DME 1.3 can't which is an iterative read/write process
