Just a few issues i need to sort out....

i have been trying to get info from the wiki but not finding what i need...can anyone help with any of these issues....

1) braking issue -

ive been having this issue for a while now, when the car is coming to a stop, just before it stops, it makes a springy noise and can be felt on the brake pedal (bounces back/ spring noise)...

its not the disks!

ive been told it may be the abs pump, but not having done this before, i leaving it as the last result...


2) LSD noise -

if the lsd is going/gone, should it start whining straight away as you start driving? or only once its warmed up?

Mine started to make a noise when im reversing around a corner left & right, but only in reverse, when driving straight its ok...

should it whine when driving straight also?


3) - Gearbox oil leaking -

its an automatic 2.5 gearbox, ive noticed recently some oil marks on the drive, spent a while driving the car today and checking where its leaking from, noticed at the bottom where the white filter is, some oil coming out around there, but what could this be, and where else do they usuallly leak from and how can i sort the leaks out..


any recommendations on what to sort out, and how...

1) Disable the ABS and see if the problem goes away.

2) A diff. of any kind does absolutely nothing when driving in a straight line, so should make any noise at all. Whining from a diff. assembly is usually the pinion gear bearing.

3) Clean it all up and see where the oil is coming from. Cooler pipe O rings are the only common leak on an auto. that I know of.

when the abs light comes on, the noise doesnt appear. But not sure if its the relays or the pump itself or anything else connected to the braking system...

i did notice a small buzzing noise when i was driving at crawling pace in traffic the other day
