I want to replace the house between the power steering resevior and pump. Is it a specific type of hose? Do I just ask the motor factor for power steering hose?

What engine? Most have a banjo connector on the pump end which leaves you at the mercy of the main dealer

Its only a low pressure hose, but must be rated for use with ATF, otherwise it will become porous. Take the old hose with you to your local hydraulic engineering supply place. They will fit the banjo for you, or you can do it yourself using an airline clamp or jubilee clip. Make sure you keep the bend in the hose the same.
