Has anyone ever tried to or found new replacement gas struts in the seat mechs ? (4 in each seat) with generic same sized struts rather than bmws prices ? Just wondering if they can be bought anywhere

I need some of these too - I'm stuck head-butting the roof
Still, saves me petrol as it's not a great driving position so I take the e46 instead
Anyway, these look promising: http://www.gasstruts.co.uk/product_info ... cts_id=134
based on this: http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showpost.p ... ostcount=7
Only issue is they're 50nM off the stock ones, but I'd guess they're still better than a set of shagged ones...
Discounts for buying 6+ or 20+ too...
Still £130 to completely redo 2 seats though...
