Which tyres?

My tyres are down to 2mm and all need replacing. It's a 1987 318 on 14" BBS. Which brand or model of tyre suits this car best?

Any of the mid-range ones will be fine on a 318i tram. Kumho, Hankook, Vredestein, Falken etc. Until recently I had always used Vredestein Sportracs on E30s and been impressed. I couldn't source 4 though so have purchased Falken ZE914s this time which have been good so far. Lots on here swear by Toyos and they're ok but too soft for my liking. My experience is with 15" tyres though so there may be different choices for 14" wheels. My 14" bottletops wear Goodyear Ultragrip 8s - a brilliant winter tyre but too soft for use all year.

Oh, and avoid Avon. They're sh!te. Fit for landfill and not much else.
