Try and remember to check the diff/axle carrier mounting bolts every 6 months or so,there are now a number of recorded cases of these bolts working loose in use.

At a guess, the entire rear suspension assembly would have been assembled off the car in the factory, but this is very difficult to arrange DiY,my prefered method, for example,is to mount the axle carrier, then the diff, then the trailing arms. This means that it is impossible to use a torque wrench to tighten the diff retaining bolts as only a slim ring spanner will access the upper pair.
