Just a quick stupid question......

So where do I find the engine number on an M20???

Never bothered looking before and my new insurance policy requires it (due to mods!).... can't spot it at first glance!!!

(It's different from the V5, obviously!!!)

It is stamped on a rectangle machined surface ( IE now rusty) on the block on the intake side just above the sump mating surface. You will need to remove your airbox etc to access it and when found , some emery paper should make it visible.

As above, just to the right of the inlet side engine mount.

A wire brush and Jenolite rust remover help, as does a torch.
