I'm looking to fill in some gaps in my service history files by contacting the previous owners. I'll be using addresses i have on invoices, and hoping they're still around.
Has anybody here done this before and can share some advice? was thinking letter templates or content?
This forum may also be a good place to start, the cars in Question are,
1990 E30 318iS H105 YAV
1993 E30 316i Touring L658 PAH
Cheers

Get in touch with the dvla, I'm sure they can supply you with a list of past owners (for a fee).

The scum. Normally you go to any government organisation and that's the first thing they quote!

So i've done some google searches on the names and addresses on past invoices.
As luck would have it one previous owner had his own website promoting his business, contacted him via email during the week and got a response today
There was nothing unto wards, he replaced the fuel tank, steering rack and only sold to buy a E30 325i Touring saying he started commuting on the motorway a lot more and the previous owner was an antique dealer but found it useless at transporting old wardrobes.
I think i'd have kept the 1.6, completed a 350 mile round trip (Bimingham- Redditch-skegness and back) this week and returned 38.5 mpg!!
