Hi,

Car is a 325i 1987 pre- facelift (it's a tech1) with ABS

I've fitted a originally SETA 325i engine which has been converted to Motronic 1.3 (I'm not sure the age of the engine)

So, I've followed the WIKI and peeled back the plug and socket protectors and I have brown wire both engine and body side going into pin 20.

I'm assuming this is ok then to connect up ?

cheers

jim

if there's a brown wire in pin 20 on the car side of the c101 then cut it/isolate it,

Won't actually matter on your car, but it's good practice to remove the body side wire as a matter of course. Brown wire in your engine loom was originally the earth for the temperature gauge sender, when it was a two wire device.

Wow, you learn something new every day, thanks Brian. I've snipped and protected the ends with heat shrink. Thanks again.
