hey, trowing a m50b25 into my 316i shell for a drift project... Il be using a 95 engine with a stage 1 upgraded ecu with ews delete etc and a 328 zf box. I have e28 mounts, e36 mounting arms also. Iv the whole car stripped and cut, I literally have every last wire from the dash back cut, as il be running no rear lights and an aluminium fuel tank with after market pump.. I have a few questions about the conversion and nothing has to be perfect as its only a track car after! what i want to no is:

- Will my wiring work ok as of the wiring diagrams provided on this site?

- what prop and gear linkages will I use?

- What diff would suit this car for drifting. I have both a 3.91 and 4.10 here.

- is there any alternative methods to notching the manifold for exhuast clearance? I know DanThe has a straight shaft, that will be my next option!

- has any1 any info on the best extra lock set ups? DIY jobs not as iv cut and welded and fare share of e36s but no e30s

any other suggestions and how to make this car track suitable easily let me no! in terms of wiring, power lightness etc.

I use a 3.73 diff with an e30 box, I'd suggest something around 3.10 for an e36 box

Unless your just doing ovals you will need brake lights for tracks
