e30 pre facelift fuel gauge goes down when engine running

Can anyone help when I turn on ignition fuel gauge goes up to right level but when start the engine the fuel gauge slowly goes down to empty

you may be suffering from loose nuts (on the back of the guage (?) but you may have better luck asking here Adi:
