Finally getting round to finishing my Touring off.
Bought some recaro front seats (bought from Hartge H27) which are mint and have added the H&R Cup kit.
Car has Alpina front spoiler, clear indicators, Momo Race steering wheel and Powerflex eccentric control arm bushes.
I need to however finish the car off but need some ideas as to what to do.
The only area really left which I feel is lacking is the wheels. I want to do something a bit different.
16" Alpina's are way too rare and finding them is a mission.
So i was thinking - 17" Alpinas 5 stud from the E36's
Obviously I will need a 5 stud conversion and there are quite a few ways of doing this.
What do you think? Black Touring with clears and Alpina front spoiler with 17" Alpinas?

Here is a car from E30.de
Its a cab with Alpina front spoiler with the same wheels as I want. ONly difference here is that mine is a Tourer:

In my opinion that looks amazing.

I'm keeping the car totally stock in terms of performance for now. Normally I concentrate on doign performance and then styling.
I havent decided on what Im doing for the engine yet, Maybe M5 engine or maybe some turbo conversion.

they are not e36"s alpinas. they are e32 alpina wheels.
e36"s ones dont look too dissimilar(sp?) to the bk replicas.

Thanks for that Jon,
I was just on e30.de looking at other pics of cars with 17" alpinas and the e36 ones do look like the reps.
E32 17" alpinas - where do I find a set of those! What about 5 series ones?

i think those wheels on the pic above have a deeper dish, that's what he means. i'd expect that on a 7/8 series, maybe not so much on a 5...Chaos wrote:arent the e30 m3/5/6/7/8 ones all very much of a muchness - as the offset is same etc ?M5pilot wrote:Thanks for that Jon,

Hi Sal,nice what your doing to the tourer,I'm a big fan of Alpina's so get them if you can. Here is a pic of Jan's car with 16 7f 8b standard fit 4 stud.A pic of the B6 with 16 b8 all round 5 stud. The pic of the convertible in the thread has e34/e28 deep dish Alpina's 5 stud which I have brought a set for the B6.Here is a few pics of the wheels, but I have to put 6inch spacers on the front to clear the calapers. And some more pics of wheels which look nice so there is a choice, especially if you go 5 stud.I'll give you a ring in the week if that's ok as I need some bushes.

See from the pics the 16 4 and 5 stud wheels have a lip on the outer edge
when you go to 17 5 stud their just smooth, you can see how they stick out so on the tourer you are not going to have alot of room.Perhaps the guy with the convertible had to do some mods to get them to fit,but they really look good.M8

Sal,i was thinking same as you,5 stud conversion then genuine 18 alpinas from an e46.They have the tyre valve inside the centre cap.
Thats what i was toying with doing to mine.
