There's a few the links section, but wouldn't it be useful to have a list of garages that we all use? All of our cars have to go in sometimes (if only for the dreaded MOT) & I for one need to find somewhere to do my rear subframe bushes...

So where's good near you? If we try & keep this fairly on-topic, it'll be easier to browse through / turn into a list / sticky / whatever :thumb:

Bexley Motor Works in Bexleyheath - Kent
E-Tech - Havant Portsmouth

there are two more locally but I've not used them so no comment

Probably only one person/place I'd trust with any work on my cars

MJF Engineering, Beare Green, Nr Dorking

However, other places that I know the people and the folk that use them have only good reports:

ETA Motrosport in Gravesend Kent
Munich Motors in Wokingham, Berks
1987 Henna Rot M3 (was 195bhp CAT..now more and no cat)
2001 E46 330i SE Touring (manual)

Ziggy, a place on the Nuffield did my bushes for Ԛ£90, top blokes as it was drive-in drive-out the same day!

There's a BMW Specialist in Southbourne as well I think!

I use my mate's dad's garage in Alder Hills, Hughes International - he's joint owner and has previously been head technician at Jeep/Chrysler on Wallisdown Road.

Royston Autocare in Royston (suprisingly), Hertforshire.

01763 263006

Karl, the boss, has a plethora of BMW Course Certificates up on the wall, and can do most things E30 eyes closed.

Very good, and reasonable prices.

I've used them for 5 years, and have always had great service. A mate of mine used to work there, but I kept using them for any stuff I don't do myself (time/experience!)

Steve Rowley, in Cheltenham.

The best allround service from any garage i've ever been to. Good work, well priced, nice guys too. One of the techs has a 2.7 E30 sport conversion, so knows them well.

Sweeeet! Who??? I take it that didn't include the bushes?! Think I'll get the subframe & trailing arms done at the same time... Would do the diff too, but not when it'll be getting a LSD before long

Teeside AutoTech in Thornaby near middlesbrough. they look after my brothers M5 and 325i Sport, and I take my 320 Cabriolet there whenever I can fit it in to a visit home.

Incidentally, can anyone recommend anywhere in/near Nottingham? I can't seem to find anywhere for the bits I can't do, but can't wait till I go home..

Ay up mate, MAE on Little Tennis Street, Colwick. Blokes name is Shaun, he breaks aswell so always has bits and bobs available. However I now work in Leicester and have found a top man, BMW specialist, a real enthusiast every time I take my Motorsport Cab in for a job he always does any other little things that he notices or advises me on any up & coming jobs. When he first saw my car he said he was relived that it was a good 'un cos he turns away work on "sheds"!

Barry Deadman. BMW Specialist.

Bit awkward to organise it into a really useful list straight away... When / if we get a decent number of responses, I'll make a list for easy reference :thumb:
