The first one appears to be a Hartge H26 conversion. I'd confirm it with Birds, there has been an instance of Birds paperwork being photshopped to fit. H26 conversion can be only the engine and ECU chip and nothing else. If it's a solid sport (only a screwdriver on the rusty bits will tell you) and a genuine H26, it's worth £5k all day long, possibly more.
The second one doesn't seem right to me. Why has the owner only had it for 6 months. If you own a sport and don't need the money, put it away and it'll appreciate.
I'd pay an extra £1k-£2k for a Hartge H26 which is also a sport than just a sport.
Read the wiki for the key areas to check on these cars and save yourself time and money by doing as much as you can before you go to see them.

I'd be wary of taking advice on punctuation from someone who can't put a sensible sentence together.....sheebie wrote:I would stay away from anyone who tries to sell a car with mastering what a full stop is.

I lucked upon an 'interesting' chap attempting to remove the n/s scuttle A post section from a touring in a scrap yard. In between my advice on how best to remove it being ignored and him borrowing assorted tools off me, he told me about his rare Hartge that he had got off an old boy and the description was EXACTLY as per this car.
Speaking to him and seeing his futile attempts to remove the scuttle section and reading his Ebay feedback would be reason enough to suggest that the car will be no carefully recommisioned creampuff
Thanks topblag i emailed both owners and the hartge does seems abit dodgy. Also the red sport does seem like a nice sport just got off the phone . IL be viewing it friday if the weathers good as im a mechanic by trade il give it a once over. Just hope if his willing to do something on the price if the cars in good nick.
