Hi all,
I'm just about to start work on fitting an E34 M50 engine into my 318is. I've researched quite a bit into this conversion before I undertake it, but everything i've read up on is based on an E36 m50/m52.
One of my questions for the minute is, can I use the mounting brackets from the E34, or do they definitely need to be from the E36? I'm having a bit of trouble sourcing some at the minute, so i'm hoping I wont have to. (fingers crossed)
Also, i'll be using the M42 box. Will the 318is clutch and flywheel assembly fit the M50. I read somewhere someone touching on the subject, but they didn't go into detail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I understand this subject has been addressed many times, but after trawling through the internet for information it gets a little tiring, so i'm hoping someone wont mind giving me a hand.
Thanks!

The engine arms must be E36 otherwise the engine will sit in the wrong place.
Id say yes the 318is fly and clutch will fit, but not sure if the clutch would cope with the extra power.
