had a problem with my 325 auto touring not reving passed 3000rpm.
i disconected the icv and it let it rev freely. so i took the icv off and re connected it and turned the ignition on and looked inside and the internals move freely, then once i put it all back together i can hear the icv clicking. it wont idle level and once i rev it and let off it cuts out.
so does this mean the icv is fooked or ???
cheers for any help

More likely an air leak. Everyone blames the ICV, but I don't remember ever reading a thread where a new ICV solved a problem on an E30.
