Hiya Guyrs.
I have an 89 325 cabrio. It has had poor brakes since I have had it (I know the brakes arent great on E3o's at the best of times). When I say poor I mean really poor.
I have bled the full braking system and stripped both front calipers/changed pad and they are still terrible.
The pedal is solid/good bleed, and the vaum seems to have no leaks but there is no bite to the brakes at all.
Any advice?
Also I am thinking of upgrading the front brakes if I cant get it sorted.
Anyone got a good front caliper upgrade?
I want to stay on 15s and dont want to sped mega bucks! I was thinking E46 M3 brakes. Is there a cheap uprated master cylinder option?
Many thanks all.

The discs are not far from new.
What pads would you recommend?

E30 brakes are just fine as standard as long as all parts are in firstclass condition.
Braided stainless steel flexi's and a good quality pad are the only 'upgrades' that I use on my E30's.
Pads?
I use EBC Greenstuff.

Maybe I have a master cylinder problem.
Like I said I have had loads of E30s with standard pads and they have been lots better than this.

There's nothing wrong with E30 brakes when they're working as they should. Easily up to the job required of them.
Find out what's wrong with them and fix.
