Cutting out

Whenever I lock my wheels either way hard, the engine conks. Only started happening recently as I cutting accross lanes of traffic (scary). Any ideas?

Mine does the same matey, and makes a squeeky noise when on full lock

Have a look at the power steering pump. it may have become stiff/worn, causing the engine to stall. It can also squeak.
