my seats need a resto the drivers seat is stuck hunched down I cant raise it the passenger one won't recline i'm planning on keeping them due to the unusual colour and them suiting my car . anybody on here that has fixed seats before ? I mean the mechanism so they recline and go up and down ?

E30 tech. help type problems in tech. help forum please!
All the seat mechanisms are contained in the two 'pods' either side of the hinge line. These are very easy to remove and swap over.
The most common seat fault is that the two sides don't synchronise with each other, usually as a result of a broken seat frame, which in turn is the result of the back securing screws working loose and being ignored for a period of time, rather than being tightened up.
