Would like to swap air con from my E30 Saloon to the Touring. I've searched previous posts but haven't found much to go on.

Can anyone point me to a good guide or give me the score for how much mechanical and electrical work I'm going to have to do-I think it won't be easy :?

Cheers.

the first thing u need to look at mate is where the pipes go through the bulk head by the battery coz if u aint got a hole there u gotta make one and the whole loom + dash has to come out

Nice one, I'll have a look, the other thing is the battery is in the boot on the saloon and in the front on the Touring - if I remember correctly the pipework should fit around the battery.

I retrofited a/c in to my 320i, the pipeline goes around the battery and the hole is cut out but the round plate is glued with something just smash it out, only holes that was not predicted is under the heater matrix 2 of them the 3rd was also predicted thats for the condensed water, ist not very hard job even the elec.

Send a quick PM to Ian332isport, he has retro-fitted A/C to an E30, and he is also very helpful, I'm sure he can point you in the right direction!
