Car just cuts out if I take a sudden or hard left run.

Its doesn't seem electrical as all electrics work, starter etc.

Plenty of fuel in the car.

Won't start up again unless I wait 15mins or so.

Dodgy fuel pump / sender?

Crazy...

Only to the left? Has it got an alarm fitted that might be the culprit?

long shot but was the root of all evil on mine (similarly died on certain turns and wouldnt restart for 15 min)

replace crank sensor

mine was worn due to friction rubbing, but not enough to fully kill the circuit

I would lift the rear seat and the inspection cover and check the wiring plug is onto the pump connector properly and all connections seem good.

Battery earth and everything good?

Battery earth is good.

It's deffo fuel related - crank sensor could be relevant tho?

But why only turning left?

The other resin I suspect fuel pump / sender is the fuel gauge is way inaccurate.

As with any 'cutting out' problem, what does the tacho. do when it cuts out?

Mine was turning left and decelerating. I can only guess that the forces involved affected the break in the wire and broke the circuit or earthed it.

If it drops to zero instantly, you are looking for an ignition electrical fault, so you can discount fuel pump, pump relay

When I say instantly I mean it dies just like if you switch the engine off?

So coil pack? Plug connections?

I know there is also a slow drain on the battery that flats the battery in 48 hours.

Ignition system includes coil pack, ECU, DME relay, ignition switch, various wires and the crank position sensor, and in view of your initial description of the fault, the latter is where I'd start the investigation.

Urrrgghh.

Cheers dudes.

It happens so intermittently tho - not on EVERY hard turn.
