Im confused about my exhaust, all the e30s ive had in the past have had the twin pipes all the way through. My 320i has two in the downpipe which connects to the center section that goes two into what im sure is a resonator which has one pipe coming out all the way to the backbox?
1)Is this system crap
2)What are my options, is it best just to keep it or get the twin one
3)Is it the same as a 318i exhaust?
Im asking all this as its too quiet, literaly i have no noise out the exhaust at all so just the noise from the tappets and the bearings (soon to be changed) in my alternator.
Im all confused about 320i exhaust?

Early(up to about '87)320i's have the system you describe.
Later 320i's share the 325i type twin pipe system.

All prefacelift and early facelift 320s had a single tailpipe system.
