Right guys, was changing the inner and outer cv boots tonight, aye bought two stretch ones that you can stretch over the top of the cv joint. The other two where genuine bmw ones, and couldnt be stretched. Therefore trying to take the rear joint of, i couldnt say any spring clips, or anything at all. Just a 5 or 6 spoke nut that was isolating the ball bearings. I pressumed it just hammered of the splines. However I dont want to wreck it. Any advice guys?.. thanks

Take off the dust cap which covers the whole end of the joint.
Give the end of the shaft a wipe as it will be covered in grease.
You should see a circlip which needs to be removed.
Then gently pull the joint away from the shaft. I used a 3 legged puller to start it moving.
The dust cover is furthest left of parts 5 then the circlip then CV joint.

And when i did mine with those "stretchy" boots.
