I will be using a 330i front setup on my cab, so that will have 325mm front rotors with e46 330i callipers.
Now I'm looking for a suitable rear upgrade. I am running an e36 318ti rear axle so it's allready 5 stud. I remember having read somewhere on the net that 120d rear discs are suitable for the ti rear axle maintaining the original handbrake. Only thing is, what callipers to use with those discs.
Anyone who has done this upgrade?
Tia!

I assume e90 330i?
As e46 330i is the same 300mm disc as the 325/238 but with a bigger caliper that requires 17" wheels.

do e36 m3 disks fit? not sure how big they are, but they look pretty large to me and i'm sure the rest of the handbrake mech (shoes, springs, clasp and adjuster ) are the same as the rest of the e36 range.
just looked on real oem, m3 rear disk is 312mm x 20mm (vented) 318ti rear disk is 272mm x 10mm (solid)

yes, z3m should be a direct upgrade but very hard to get hold of.
is there more than one variant for the e46 330i disc? as i have one downstairs that is 100% 300mm and was taken from a 330?

The funny thing is the discs of the z3m and e36 m3 are the same as are the carriers, but the callipers are different. Sourcing the discs won't be a problem, neither will the carriers but the callipers might be an issue.

Dont the Z3M disks have a deeper bell to accommodate the extra 10mm wider track?
Shame my compact only has drums otherwise I would have bunged a disk off the m3 on to see how it fitted.
They don't seem particularly wide though, I assumed the z3ms track width was purely down to the wide low offset rear wheels, 9in et8 vs et41 for the usual 7.5in e36 wheels.
