hi, i have a 318i 1991 cab, it runs a cat, if removed will it make much difference!! I need to change the exhaust as it is blowing quite bad, not sure how much it is going to cost me! any one know where in the Chelmsford. Essex area where i can get it changed and won't get ripped off!!

The main difference you should see by ditching the cat. is a noticeable decrease in fuel consumption, as long as you fit a decent quality exhaust rather than the tat offered by the likes of Kwikfit.

As long as you have a working CO adjuster on the AFM, no other changes needed.

For used parts you could allways nip up to Richard at BBB , he could also fit for you too if needs be . About an hour tops up the a12 near ipswich .
