Idling at 1/5-2k

From cold my 320i is idling as above,as it warms up it drops, but not to the idle speed. Is there something sticking or getting stuck?

Have you cleaned the Throttle body and or Idle control Valve? When did it begin playing up? was it working fine before?

Has anyone got a picture of this small rubber plug on the back of the throttle body that Zone wiki air leak section goes on about.

It's on the underside rather than the back. And as the Wiki states "which can only be accessed with the throttle body removed", so either way you're going to have to whip the spanners out to see what condition its in anyway.
