hi bm boffins, ive recently replaced the clutch on my 325 with a OE one from the stealers. The problem is the bitting point is very high and ive tried driving it without any pressure on the accelerater and the car does not stall. Is this normal? spoke to my usual garage who installed it, he says that it is a self adjustng clutch. true or false. Im a bit baffaled there is no noise or judder with the clutch its just the bitting point is really high.
Can one adjust these clutch?

Hi, I've got a 320i manual and the biting point is central - certainly not at the top of the pedal's travel. If being very careful and letting the clutch out slowly I can just about set-off without the car stalling....on the flat (or downhill of course) but I couldn't up a hill!

driving along with out your foot on the clutch is normal as far as i am aware...mine does it...it,s just the engine has enough torque to pull the car along on tickover wihtout any other throttel inputs(on level or downward sloping ground).
