Would it be ok to fit m3 rear top mounts ,and to the front of a 325 cab. I'm changing to blistien b4s with mtec springs and 15" bbs wheels.

I believe E46 M3 cabby top mounts are the best on offer.

All E30 front top mounts are the same from 316 to M3.guss wrote:Would it be ok to fit m3 rear top mounts ,and to the front of a 325 cab. I'm changing to blistien b4s with mtec springs and 15" bbs wheels.
The only variation in front top mounts are camber correction ones.
As Topblag says, E46 cabrio rear top mounts are the ones to go for.

Ok thanks, what reason would I fit m3 to the front?i understand the wheels would sit out slightly wider is this better performance or just cosmetic reason.

They are no different to any other e30 top mount as Barry has stated.

i don't quite know what you're trying to do.
e30 m3 front topmounts are exactly the same as any other e30 front topmounts. e30 m3 rear topmounts are exactly the same as any other e30 rear topmount.
e46 m3 cab rear topmounts are a decent upgrade for any e30 rear topmount as theyre stronger and will last longer.

You can get camber correction ones that give +/- 30min (half a degree) camber over standard ones.
If set to the negative camber position they will give slightly better turn in and grip when cornering.
Part number 31331139484 but they are more than twice the price of standard ones.

Would that be a noticeable difference in your opinion or mainly for track type driving ,I'm thinking not.

You may be thinking about M3 lollypop bushes (at the back of the front wishbone). These alter the geometry a bit and a lot of people say they are a worthwhile upgrade.

Yes, these eccentric wishbone bushes are a worthwhile upgrade on any E30 for two reasons.BenHar wrote:You may be thinking about M3 lollypop bushes (at the back of the front wishbone). These alter the geometry a bit and a lot of people say they are a worthwhile upgrade.

Firstly, they are a virtually solid bush so will flex less unlike the standard one which has big viods in it.
Secondly, they give increased castor which improves turn in and steering feel.

no. e46 front mounts will not fit an e30.
normal e30 ones (of a decent make) are fine, and not prone to early failure unlike standard e30 rear topmounts which are quite soft and can start to push the rubber through the mount causing the cup washers to rub against the metal housing and knock and squeak.
