Read this:
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... ing_an_E30

The car could look sound but might well be hiding loads of rust etc. You'll also find you're looking for ages for a sport that isn't rusty under the bodykit, if you're fine with that (and fixing it) then you should keep looking, don't expect to find one cheap though.

Is the one for £1200 online, if so, link it up and many of the guys here will be able to tell if it is a lemon just from photos etc. :)

£1200 seems to cheap for a 66k 325! Alarm bells would be ringing :?

If you just want it to look like a sport, bung an M-Tech kit on it and 99% of people will never know the difference.

Don't really think there's any huge profit to be made straight buying and selling on.

Depends how much you really want a sport. I would say do your research on here. Offer someone on here (who is local) in the know some beer money to go and have a look at this 325i to see if its worth the money and take it from there.

As already mentioned. A lot of sports these days are rotten. A true straight one will cost a pair price..

Here's a something to start on :)

The only way you'll make money buying and selling a sport is by bodging a rusty one up with fibreglass. Considering they've never stopped being desirable cars for the last 25 years, cheap ones are cheap for a reason.

If you want one for yourself to love and enjoy, folks on here will help you sort the wheat from the chaff if you post links to the ones you're interested in.

Buy it and then buy a genuine kit from me... :D You wont be getting a genuine Sport for less that 2k unless your lucky to find one, and when you do, expect it to be hanging out of its own back end.

A nice low millege 325 is always a good investment if its genuine. You say the body work is ok? Whats wrong with it?

If you are purely buying an E30 because the Sport looks nicer then I would just buy a standard one and tack a kit on. A Genuine Sport has a few different parts fitted that arent on a standard spec car but there isnt anything that cant be added as you go.

Or buy a genuine sport cuz they Rr sick

I hope he doesn't mind me posting these up. I got a couple of PMs at 1am from Jamboree but as I am not as clued up as you lot I figure it's best to post them up for critique.

This is the £1200 low miles 2door

At the bottom of each of the front wings I need to get round there and fine tooth comb it plus there's condensation on the rear window and front. Don't know what to do its only done 66 thousand miles not many have done just that but the last thing I want to be doing is giving a couple of grand to patch it up screw driver time. The good thing about it is its a stone throw from my house

a few members have been looking for e30s latley, pretty much all for sale, have issues of some sort, for 1200 range a bit of rust on the bottom of the wings is not a worry if its solid in other areas like roof, scuttle, rear panel etc, bottom wings are a common area, even now days most for sale have bubbling/rear arch issues which is much worse than front wings, which are a easy bolt on part ,1200 youl be very lucky to get even a half decent 325i of any sort
