It's actually pretty good, front wings and rear arches are amongst the best I've seen, and it all feels pretty well screwed together, although many fixings and fasteners are a long way from BMW quality.Andyboy wrote:When it works, the 1.8 VVC is a cracking engine. I bet it goes pretty well. I reckon a BRM is worth looking after and putting a few quid into. Is it rusty anywhere? The 200's were supposedly better made than the later 25's.

The roof is the main problem, they go in the corners under the gutter trims, and brms seem particularly bad for it, whether tey went through a different paint or final assembly line or something I don't know.
Mines one of the last ten registered, I haven't seen another W reg one, and it had full history from new at the supplying dealer until they closed a couple of years ago. The plate was put on at first registration, and it still has the original dealer numberplates, window stickers, tax disk holder and original radio cassette player with cd changer under the passenger seat
