I finally got round to taking the bucket and harness out from the recent track outing so it's driveable on the road again ! and gave her a clean up.

Inside, here you can see my newly fitted pedals before the trackday to carry on making the interior a little more grown up again... fitting the new accelerator pedal was more challenging than I expected !

They are MIMs of some kind in 17 x 8.5, they used to be on a mates 528i. I just had them blasted and painted bronze for track duties, they are not in the best of nick but make it look a little menacing.

Yes I know :) The Mims are track only, I will swap to these for the rest of the winter.

The Borbets will re-appear in the spring.

What do you want to know Nathan ?

It's a 1985 M535i. Has a Fritz six branch manifold and Powerflow system.

Brakes are E32 302mm vented fronts with E34 540 300mm rears and yellowstuff pads it has braided hoses and runs ATE superblue fluid and thus far has seemed to be a decent enough setup on road and track.

Suspension wise, I put brand new Bilstein B6 dampers and Faulkner springs which are Hartge spring rates. The anti roll bars are Whiteline Heavy duty ones and make a big difference to the amount of roll. I replaced all the bushings and top mounts etc at the time and fitted front and rear strut braces. It also has K-Mac stage 2 adjustable top mounts up front, which I put on to try and combat the understeer tendancy on track, they help and it handles very predictably and is great fun. I know it's never going to be the fastest thing round a circuit but it certainly provides plenty of smiles.

When I replaced the rears and associated bits...

I'm not a fritz fan but their E28 system is just sweet the M30 sounds lovely with one :)

I also enjoyed reading your rescue thread over on 5, very happy that it turned out well in the end :D
