Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a new E30 and it comes with a HID conversion, im not a huge fan personally and am looking to go back to standard. Is it possible whilst using the same lights? as i have some smoked Bosch lights and don't want to get rid of them.

I would look at the set up but its dark whenever i get in so havnt had a chance.... i notice in the DIY there is drilling involved which worries me....

I've no idea why any sane person would want to go back to the dangerous practice of driving in close to darkness, but the parts that will have had holes drilled in them will be the caps on the back of the lights and the trim panels that close of the back of the lights. Holes in the trim panels won't matter, but the caps will have to be replaced or the hole filled with a rubber blind grommet.

It is easy as removing the HID bulbs and plugging the backs up, simples. Although to be honest I wasn't keep on HID's but I installed them anyways and it's a definite improvement on standard headlights - I've sort of warmed to them but I can't help but feel a bit council for having them.
If they're too blue just change them to 4300k for a nice white look, hell of a lot better then 6000k IMO.
