It's your typical "electric windows stay live" thread...
Mine stay on, door open or closed, IGN circuits live or not. The only thing that turns them off is the thermal cutout switch. I've even removed every fuse in turn from the fuse box, and removed the door pin switch - they're still lit.
One thing that DOES work is touching the two wires at the door pin switch together (the interior light wire to the window trigger wire). This makes the blue relay latch for a few seconds, but it then releases at random times, making the circuit live again.
I can't believe it's a relay issue, because I can't work out where the windows are getting their power from. Any ideas?

Power should come from fuse 28. If pulling that fuse doesn't stop the windows (ignition off) then you'll have to do more digging to find where power is coming from.
There should be a red/yellow wire running from the blue relay to a corner pin of the accessories socket. This pin should have a red/yellow wire connected to the back of it which comes directly from fuse 28.

Cheers Brian. More digging revealed a bodge by the previous owner (will I ever find them all?)
He ran a wire from that pin on the blue relay to the rear door pin switch, which must have shorted out somewhere. Disconnecting that wire solved the issue immediately.
Proper dodgy.
