Hi all, im after imformation regarding the E28 535 rad. Ive just got my engine up and running and i dont want to cook this one like the last.
Could anybody please put up a close up pic of the small outlet at the top corner of the rad
that runs to the header tank. This will enable me to determine the position of the outlet in comparison to the top hose inlet, and also the diameter of the outlet.
I also need to know that if you blocked up the main inlet and outlet holes ( top and bottom hoses outlets)and picked the rad up and turned it on its side , if the water would just trickle out of the small outlet im talking about. This will let me know if the rad has a built in thermostatically controlled gubbings that controls it ( i doubt it but i want to get this right).
Presuming it hasnt, the water will then run to the header tank. What pressure does the header tank cap work at.
The reason for this is, that im going to take my rad to pro-alloy tomorrow morning and get the cap neck removed and plated up and a small outlet in the appropriate position. I know plenty of you have done this conversion using the m30b35 so im hoping for a few replies tonight if you could,
thanks in advance
