it seems there are two different types, one for each side. Do i use one of each, 2 hockey puck types or two of the other type? ive collected all the parts its just the mounts i need now so i can get it started

I used two of the hockey puck style you mention. When I checked I couldn't get the middle one, I think most go with the hockey style ones.

I used 2x hockey puck style one's on my m52 but my mate used one hockey and one of the second one in the pic on him m50.

Both methods work fine.

NO, the one on the left in the pic mate...
i used 2 of these and have thrashed my m52 round for nearly 3 years and im still on the same pair.
dont use the middle item in the pic. they are weak and will snap!
you can get them from ecp, just ask for 2 of the left hand side mounts from an e28 m5. i payed about 40 quid for the pair 8)

Oz, Kedge on here might have a couple of those (E28 M5 on the left of your pic) for sale might be worth sending him a PM

They are fitted but unused as he is changing them, he bought them as a test to eliminate another clearance issue on his M20
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Ones on the left every time, the centre ones are ok to start with but when they fail they literally fall apart as I found

The mounts on the right are very sturdy but do not fit without modifying the chassis rails

Why are these better than the standard e34 M50 ones?
