retro fit check control panel...can it be done

can a check control panel be retro fitted the parts are very easy to come by these days but i have a 318i cab m40 type .is the loom pre fitted if not i dont think its worth it..anyone done it

Short answer is no. Of course, anything is possible with enough work, but it's a completely dfferent main loom, with all the extra sensor wires, and "breaks" in the loom, where the bulb failure modules connect in.
