M40 1.8 engine - best oil grade?

Please forgive my ignorance, and I'm sure this has been asked before but what oil grade would you put in a 1993 318i? The car is mechanically sound with 113k miles. All and any guidance much appreciated, thanks.

A good 10/40 semi sythetic is fine. Magnatec is perfect for the job.
