My car has check control but the e36 engine loom I use doesn't have the connector for the sump sensor.
I know the wire on the car's loom for the dynamic oil level is Green/Yellow but do I have to connect is to ground to make the light on the check panel to go off?
Dynamic oil level wire connect to ground?

Off the top of my head im sure its 3 wires in total 1 of them is ground and the others should be on the c101 plug. Im sure someone here can clarify this.

I have this issue, when I had the m50 in my car the m50 loom had this 3 pin plug to connect to the sump sensor thus turning off the "engine oil light" on obc..... When fitting the m52 I noticed there is no plug for this facility
So I've just lived with the light being on, I know how to check my oil without this light prompting me lol, but I wouldn't mind being able to turn it off.....

I can't remember exactly which wires it was but on mine I had to put one of the wires to ground and one to ground via a 1000 Ohm resistor to get the light to go out.
I'm sure it was 1000 Ohms cause I still have a couple in the little bag of them I bought at the time!
